Sense how they calm and cool quickly. Let the fence
pickets of your fingers embalm the breeze. Forget

all the bombs, digs, all the appalling
things done with digits. Give alms. And fling
your breath, soft like a psalm, at the war
that shut hands con. Keep them flat.
